Brent Martin is the executive director of the Blue Ridge Bartram Trail Conservancy and the co-owner of Alarka Expeditions in Franklin, North Carolina. He is the author of several books, including George Masa’s Wild Vision.

Ben Banick is a naturalist, musician, and craftsman from the North Carolina piedmont. He has a background in botany and also enjoys working on historic buildings and collecting old rusty objects.

Membership Development Coordinator

Fiona Howell is a budding naturalist of the Southern Appalachians with interests in music, writing, pottery, and community. She has a background in forestry and is casually studying animals of the Southern Apps with salamanders, fish, and some insects at the top of the list.
